I’m continuing to try to improve my concept art with some more visually interesting backgrounds.
I was really inspired by the art of Fernando Correa, I love his colors and the simple soft shapes he places behind his drawings. I wanted to try having crisp graphic circles behind my more brushy, impressionistic fantasy character.
The weathered notebook is a fun way to try to bring my oil paint sketches into the world of our d&d campaign and make them into a prop for our characters.
