55 years ago the first episode of TOS ran! And more than 54 years later I watched my first episode (not counting the tribbles episode, everyone sees that one somehow). What a great show. I love the set design, how much it references theater sets, the amazing lighting (the glow on Kirk’s face like he’s a film noir femme fatale / the colored lights in every cabin on the enterprise), the dialogue, the philosophical undertones, and most especially the green-blooded hobgoblin. He’s so fun to paint! He’s a SPACE ELF!
